Macon, Georgia Cherry Blossom Festival
Did you know that Macon, Georgia, has over 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees? That is almost 100 times more than Washington, DC. On this tour, we will see these amazing trees in full bloom and tour the Hay House, Cannonball House, Christ Episcopal Church, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Tubman Museum, Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, and Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park. We will also visit Albany, Georgia, to experience more historic beauty at the Ray Charles Memorial, Radium Springs, and the Flint RiverQuarium before heading home. This 4-day, 3-night tour is a great spring getaway for an individual, a couple, or a group of friends.
Tentative Itinerary

Day 1 – Wednesday, March 17
We will depart Bonifay, FL, on our luxury motorcoach. After a morning rest stop, we will continue to Macon, GA. We will have lunch and some shopping time at Lane’s Southern Orchard. Then it is on to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. After we check into our hotel, we will have a great BBQ dinner at Satterfield’s before returning to the hotel for the evening.

Day 2 – Thursday, March 18
After breakfast at hotel, we will depart on our Macon Cherry Blossoms Riding Tour with our private step on guide. The we will tour the Hay House before having lunch downtown at one of the many local restaurants. Then it is on to the Christ Episcopal Church for an inspiring stained-glass tour, before visiting the Museum of Arts and Sciences, followed by dinner at the S&S Cafeteria. Then it’s back to the hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 3 – Friday, March 19
We will have breakfast at the hotel and the depart for our tour of The Cannonball House, followed by the Capricorn Studios, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, before lunch downtown. We will visit the Tudman Museum before we load the Bus and head to the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park. After touring this historic park, we have dinner at Ole Time Buffett. Then it’s back to the hotel for our final night in the beautiful Southern City of Macon.

Day 4 – Saturday, March 20
Once we have had breakfast at the hotel, we will load the Bus and depart for Albany, GA. Our vist there will begin at the Albany Visitors Center where we will have a rest stop and get ready for our day there. Our tour will begin with the Charles Ray Charles Park which features a life-size sculpture of Ray Charles at a grand piano on a spinning platform. Then it is on to magnificent Radium Springs Park. After lunch at The Bread House, we will visit the Flint Riverquarium before we load up and head for home. On the way home we will have time to remember all of God’s beautiful creation we have seen on this tour as well as share some more great fellowship with our friends. We should arrive back in Bonifay around 5:00.
